The 1977 Vienna New Year's Concert was the 37th New Year's Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic and took place on the 1 January 1977 in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein.

The concert was broadcast on television with its second part, the production was taken over annually by the Österreichische Rundfunk (ORF) and the Zweites Deutsche Fernsehen (ZDF) jointly, the production was again directed by Hermann Lanske. It was the twelfth New Year's Concert, the second part of which in cooperation with Eurovision (for this association it was the 18th transmission) and Intervision, the television network of the then socialist states, was broadcast on television. The New Year's Concert was broadcast in 1977 via Eurovision alongside Austria, Belgium, the Federal Republic of Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Iceland, Yugoslavia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain.

In 1977 were involved via Intervision: Bulgaria, USSR, East Germany, Poland and Romania.
