The following are rules, regulations and policies stated in the International Broadcasts Wiki. Every user is expected to follow all of this while editing to the wiki. All new users are recommended to review the rules as soon as possible.
General Rules[]
- Follow proper editing guidelines
- It is important to format pages correctly. Please see the format section for further details. Non-adherance to the wiki's editing format may result in a warning or block.
- Making positive contributions is expected of editors. These include adding relevant information to articles (especially international broadcast information), adding more information about existing articles, fixing spelling and grammar mistakes and adding relevant templates and categories. Negative contributions, which include vandalism (adding or publishing gibberish, expletives or overall unrelevant/false information), writing with biased or opinionated points of view, spamming, posting and/or adding irrelevant, inappropriate or harmful external links, and adding curse words or adult content, may result in an indefinite block. However, this may vary as it is at the discretion of the blocking administrator.
- The content added must be notable, meaning that the content must be somewhat well-known. Examples include television shows, television specials and/or films released on television and/or a streaming service, or high-profile events broadcast on television or streaming online. Fictional or fan-made programs or projects are not allowed. Please see notability guidelines for more on what counts as "notable".
- User respect
- All users must follow Fandom's Terms of Use
- As stated in Fandom's Terms of Use, all users must be 13 years old and above to have an account.
- Having multiple accounts is prohibited. Users caught doing this will be blocked indefinitely.
- Avoid trolling or harassing other users.
- Treat new contributors of the wiki with respect, even if the contributor made a bad edit. If this happens, politely explain to the user what is wrong with his/her edit.
- Never post any forms of spam in any way. Spams are really annoying and a violation of Fandom's Terms of Use. If spam is discovered, it will be deleted and the user who posted it, will be blocked.
- Bigoted language (including slurs which degrade another person or group of people based on gender, race, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, etc.) are prohibited. Use of such words in the wiki may result in blocking.
Format[]
Below is the format of all pages in the International Broadcasts Wiki that editors must adhere to.
- Infobox: Add an infobox at the very first portion of the article. Fill up all relevant information needed. Use the infobox that best matches the article being created.
- Description: Add a description about the program. Descriptions must be 2 or more paragraphs and must contain relevant and true information about the program.
- Persons involved: At the first section of each article, add the cast members in bulleted form and the role they portray in the program. Actors must be highlighted in bold. If the article is a television special with musical performances, the first section would be a section for the performers with a table of the performers and the songs performed, followed by a second section highlighting the people who have presented/spoke during the broadcast with a one-sentence summary of what they presented. For award shows, a section and table of the winners and nominees would be the first section, followed by the presenters section and the performers section
- International broadcasts: Add the international broadcast information of the program at the very last section of the page. If the program has versions made in other countries, add a section for the international versions first before adding the international broadcast section. If the program is listed as airing on a programming block (with the exception of Adult Swim), firstly mention the channel where the block airs and put the block after it in parenthesis.
- Categories: Add the relevant categories for the article. Make sure that the categories added are relevant to the information provided in the article. To add a country category, only add the country category that matches to the program's country of origin. To add a channel category, only add the channel category that matches to the program's original broadcaster/streaming provider.
- Franchises: To create an article about a television show franchise, firstly add an infobox then add a 2 or more paragraph description and a table highlighting the versions made for the franchise.
