Oprah with Meghan and Harry is a 2021 American television interview by Oprah Winfrey with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and her husband, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex. It was first broadcast by CBS in the United States on March 7, 2021 and subsequently worldwide. Produced by Winfrey's Harpo Productions, the interview was recorded outdoors in the home of Winfrey's unnamed friend in Santa Barbara County, California and it focused on the couple's courtship and subsequent wedding, their January 2020 decision to step down as working members of the British royal family and the revelation of their second child's gender, a daughter.
It also dealt with struggles with the couple's mental health including Meghan's thoughts of suicide and their feeling of a lack of support, with Meghan critiquing the institution of the monarchy, and the couple revealing uncorroborated racial comments which had been made within the royal family in relation to their then unborn son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. Harry spoke of tensions between him and his father and brother. The personal security of the couple and the question of a royal title for their son was also discussed.
The interview received high viewing figures, with CBS reporting that it was seen by over 49.1 million viewers worldwide through March 8, 2021. It also generated extensive media attention, as well as reactions from numerous political figures.
